Mr. Zhang elaborated from four perspectives: industrial development, policy orientation, technological innovation, and brand building.

Industrial development: Before the new century, global fiber production grew rapidly, but growth has slowed in recent years. However, regenerated cellulose fibers-thanks to their renewable raw materials and biodegradable properties-are favored by downstream sectors.

Policy orientation: The global trend toward sustainable policies was introduced, with carbon peaking and carbon neutrality remaining key concerns. China's green manufacturing standards system is also undergoing continuous revisions. The industry specification conditions for viscose fibers mainly involve process equipment, environmental protection, and carbon emissions.

Technological innovation: The first aspect is innovation in raw materials, with JUNCAO currently drawing attention. The second is process innovation-from conventional viscose fiber production in the early days to high-wet-modulus fibers, and then to lyocell, whose technology is continuously evolving. Additionally, with AI sweeping the world, smart manufacturing is continuously revolutionizing the industry.

Brand building: At present, the industry is promoting sustainable and high-quality brands, but this process faces criticism, such as concerns over fashion pollution and sweatshop labor. To address this, the Association has established the CV union, dedicated to enhancing green and sustainable development. Finally, Mr. Zhang introduced the "Upper Fiber" project, currently underway, which brings together high-quality enterprises across the fiber, yarn, fabric, and printing & dyeing sectors to build a high-quality lyocell value chain.
