Jin Xiangyu, Director of the Nonwovens Research and Development Center at Donghua University, delivered his report of Characteristics and performance of wet-laid spunlace nonwoven flushable wipes made from cellulosic fibers.

Firstly, an overview of the global wet wipes market was introduced, including pain points, development history, and market size. It highlighted that the Chinese wet wipes market is projected to reach 10-35 billion between 2025-2030, with top brands including Deeyou, Kleenex, Vinda, and Xinxiangyin.

Secondly, the report introduced the processing technique and classification of nonwoven wet wipes. One type involves wet-laid formation and hydro entangling methods, while the other involves air flow forming net and pulp consolidation technology. It delved into the technical characteristics of the wet-laid wipes spunlace process, the application of non-woven wet wipes, the nonwoven dispersible wet wipes spunlace process and performance.

Finally, the sustainability of wet wipes wiping cloths was discussed.
