Sustainable development opportunities brought by recycled fiber
——Johannes Bogren, Sodra Bioproducts
Johannes Bogren, Vice President of Sodra Bioproducts, delivers his speech of Sustainable development opportunities brought by recycled fiber.
The report is divided into three parts.
First, Mr. Bogren introduces the world's first open recycling system, closing the loop for blended textile waste. The recycling situation from different industries is compared, the feasibility of wood-based textile recycling is discussed, and the necessity of "reducing the overall environmental footprint" is emphasized.
Second, the return and revival. Mr. Bogren discusses the sources of major waste textiles, and states the necessity of reusing waste textiles to the overall environment, not only in the paper industry, but also in polyester and cotton industry, which can greatly reduce the impact on the environment pollution and enhance the application of commercial raw materials.
Third, achieving the goal of reuse requires the joint efforts of the entire industry chain. The root cause of the recycling of waste textiles is the joint efforts of every link in the industrial chain, including brands and consumers, to jointly contribute to recycled textiles.
