The report is divided into three parts.

First, Dr. Wang introduced the basic situation of global dissolving wood pulp’s production capacity, application, feedstock and distribution. The production capacity of dissolving pulp is about 10 million tons. Most of dissolving pulps are used for viscose staple fiber, and some are used for varieties such as viscose filament, lyocell, and acetate fiber. He also explained the feedstock of dissolving wood pulp, main wood pulp species and their distribution.

Then, Dr. Wang introduced some important indicators, including the cellulose content analysis of global chemical pulp, main wood pulp that can be used for lyocell fiber, main indicators of lyocell dissolving pulp, and main technical indicator comparison of lyocell wood pulp and etc.

Finally, he shared the main characteristics of lyocell dissolving pulp and explained its hydrophilic performance in terms of molecular. Besides, he described the advantages and disadvantages of wet process and dry process aiming at the pretreatment method of lyocell dissolving pulp.
