Jin Xiangyu, College of Textiles, Donghua University, delivers his report of Technological innovation and application of nonwovens wiping material 

 

Professor Jin divided his report into three parts, the definition of nonwovens wiping material, global market situation and thchnological process. 

In the first part, Mr. Jin introduced the definition of nonwovens wiping material. Nonwoven material is a new type of flexible material of polymers, fiber materials or other raw materials that can be used for composite materials, bonded by physical or chemical methods. 

In the second part, Mr. Jin presented the overview of the global wipes market. Traditionally, the growth of nonwoven wipes has followed a standard pattern: after the introduction of products into the region, they grew rapidly at double-digit rates, and the growth rate gradually stabilized after 2 to 4 years. Although the key drivers of the global nonwoven wipes market are similar, there are differences in different regions. From the global market, the development of wipes is slower than the overall speed of sanitary products. At present, developed regions such as North America and Western Europe still dominate the wipes market. 

In the last part, Mr. Jin elaborated the processing technology. Different nonwoven process technologies have their respective principles. But from a macro perspective, the basic principles of nonwoven technology are consistent, but there is no "weaving" part. The description of the process can be divided into four typical processes: fiber preparation, web forming, bonding, finishing.
