Global dissolving pulp supply and demand status

The report of Mr. Richard Bassett included four parts: 

Firstly, Mr. Richard Bassett pointed out the supply and demand of dissolving pulp from global population and wealth aspect. He said, with increasing population and wealth, global demand for fiber may grow at least 5% before 2020. Capacity of dissolving pulp was excessive in the past, but supply and demand reached balance now. In short run, dissolving pulp capacity may be not excessive. 

Secondly, Mr. Richard Bassett analyzed the feedstock and production cost structure of dissolving pulp. 

Thirdly, he introduced some macro-economic factors affecting price of VSF and dissolving pulp, including global GDP growth, the distribution of GDP in consumption, investment/deposit and government expenditure and international trade pattern and so on. 

Finally, he analyzed dissolving pulp capacity from the perspective of US market. He also stated the influence of exchange rate to global dissolving pulp price.
